A peaceful sanctuary and legacy

An extensive renovation and addition project for a country house near Esperance, to create a home perfectly suited to the transitional phase of my client’s family life. Through rich blues, spotted gum timber and crisp whites the house evokes a familiar sense of peace and clarity, as she found beside the ocean.

Creating more connection between the dining area and kitchen with the living room brightened the entire interior with daylight, in an open, semi traditional design. More space indoors and new wide sheltered verandahs add functionality and flow for gathering and for entertaining little ones.

Reflecting on her daily routine of writing at a desk overlooking the garden, we designed a bespoke addition to the main bedroom and study, with private access onto the verandah and garden, which personalise this home with meaningful moments.
